ECPW’s #1 fan, “Dangerous” John Z here. Welcome to Ringside Reviews w/ Johnny Z! This is the official review for ECPW Adrenaline 10/13/17. The ECPW faithful filed into the Phil Sheridan Building Association for a night of headlocks, back breakers and power bombs. Was it an omen of things to come, or the beginnings of an instant classic?
  • “Mr. Italy” Gino Caruso vs The Metal Maniac w/ Doug Devito
Fan favorite, “Mr. Italy” Gino Caruso came to the ring decked out in battle regalia.  It was clear that Gino was ready to go to war with ECPW Hall Of Famer, The Metal Maniac. Gino is looking for revenge after The Maniac made his shocking return a month earlier alongside the devious sports agent, Doug Devito (a man who personally disparaged me at the 2016 ECPW Awards Dinner) . Gino called out the ECPW legend, only to be confronted by the underhanded Devito, who was met by a series of boos and insulting signs that I always have at the ready! Things took a turn for the the worse when Devito provided a distraction for The Maniac to conveniently sneak attack “Mr. Italy.” A truly heinous act as the hall of famer reigned numerous low blows and face busters upon Gino Caruso. Gino had to be helped out of the ring by the ECPW ring crew and was diagnosed with multiple stingers in his neck, taking this rivalry to the next level. As a fellow Italian-American, I am calling for a vendetta of the highest degree!
  • John Tella vs Frankie Flow (Taped Fist Match)
Over the past couple of months, “The Epitome of Controversy,” John Tella and “The Pride of Puerto Rico,” Frankie Flow have partaken in a very personal feud that has insulted Frankie as a man, a father, and a proud Puerto Rican. This rivalry came to a head last month in a taped fist match. Tella showed complete disrespect for Frankie Flow’s heritage and the Puerto Rican Flag, infuriating big Frankie. This was a back and forth contest between the two behemoths that ended in disappointing fashion with John Tella using brass knuckles to get himself disqualified. I predict that we have not seen the end of this, knowing how proud an individual Frankie is.
  • Dan De Man (c) vs Kyle Angus – ECPW Heavyweight Title (Team Shaazam Barred From Ringside)
It’s main event time as Kyle Angus enters the ring to challenge Dan De Man for the ECPW Heavyweight Championship. Angus tried to use his technical prowess early on to take down the champion, but Dan’s veteran instinct proved beneficial as he dominated the second half of this match. Kyle would fight back, however, sending the champ into high alert. Just as it seemed like Angus was a three count away from the championship gold, Team Shaazam member, Kenny Bengal distracted the referee while a masked Corey Dillinger emerged from the snack stand and attacked the challenger from behind, enabling Dan to retain his prize. It must be asked, how deep does this conspiracy go?  I am calling for Joey G to do a complete investigation as to how Dillinger was able to gain access to the snack stand. Recently Joey has personally complained to me about the quality of pretzels being sold at the snack stand. Was the harboring of Dillinger some kind of retaliation?
