After a lengthy absence the very popular Kevin Apollo will team up with Jumbo Joe Gunns as this formidable combination will wrestle the Foreign Exchange consisting of “The German Menace”,  Kraig Stagg & “The Portuguese Monster” Dan Marquez. Apparently, Joe Gunns personally called Kevin Apollo to persuade him to come back to ECPW to help him combat  the vicious brutality of “The Foreign Exchange”, who have  been sending many ECPW wrestlers to the hospital. There should be a very entertaining match with Creeper & Sir Lance Profit as they will be involved in a “Tuxedo Match” Apparently, Profit purchased his tuxedo at the same store Norton bought Ralph Kramden’s spats in.  Mo Sexton with The Candy Man in his corner is scheduled to wrestle The Peacemaker, with DeVito in his corner. The Candy Man said that if DeVito interferes he will stuff something down in his mouth and it won’t be candy. There are many more exciting  matches that have been scheduled as this year Mayhem promises to be the best ever. If Andrew Anderson is fortunate to get by the Punisher, he will have “Jumbo” Joe Gunns to contend with sometime in June. This will be based on the outcome at Mayhem. Either way, Joe Gunns will be getting a shot at the title or just getting revenge on an ex- heavyweight champion in Staten Island. The two former tag team partners hate each other, as Joe Gunns feels that Andrew Anderson turned his back on him, as well as the loyal ECPW fans. Can Andrew Anderson survive the upcoming challenges and if he does, what condition will he be in after these two brutal matches? East Coast Professional Wrestling

The match that has everyone’s interest, especially the customers of A&A Fine Foods, http://www.aafinefoods.com/, is the battle that will take place as Gino “Mr. Italy” Caruso takes on the very rugged  Masked Superstar. The diabolical Doug DeVito will be in The Masked Superstar’s corner and Anthony Ciampa will be in Gino’s corner. Ciampa, who had a run in with Doug DeVito at a recent ECPW Event when DeVito interfered in one of Gino’s matches, insisted that he be in Caruso’s corner to make sure DeVito does not interfere in this match.   Tensions are at an all time high between DeVito and Ciampa for this one. Tickets are on sales at Haute Spot Tanning Salon, 7 Boonton Turnpike, Lincoln Park as well as A&A Fine Foods, 191 Main Street in Lincoln Park.

Doug DeVito will also have his Television Champion, Crazy Ivan, ECPW’s 2012 Wrestler Of The Year, defending his championship against former ECPW Heavyweight Champion, Mo Sexton. Mo, who was sidelined for a long time, has continued where he left off, winning match after match, impressing the fans as well as the Board Of Directors and Mr. Alan Kay, has scheduled this television championship match for the next TV Taping on March 22nd also.  The ECPW Tag Team Champions, Frankie Flow &  Bandito Jr. will defend their titles against the newly formed and very competitive tag team of Beverly Berwick & Mr. Thursday Night. All of the ECPW stars will be competing in other matches, including Jumbo Joe Gunns, Merengue Warrior, Scotty Charisma and The Dominican Diablo. This TV Taping promises to be one of  the best for 2013.

2012 was a year of confusion and chaos under the direction of Doug DeVito as we saw a 400 pound wrestler, The Peacemaker, as the Light heavyweight Champion.  An impressive victory by Team Caruso put an end to the reign of The Sports Agent and the Board Of Directors have named their senior member, Mr. Alan Kay, as the person to run the company.  The current ECPW Heavyweight Champion, Andrew Anderson, defeated all of his challengers last year and has promised to do the same this year.  As successful as 2012 was for ECPW, 2013 promises to be an even bigger and more exciting year.  Mr. Alan Kay has promised to bring in new talent as he continues to weed out some of the non-talent that DeVito brought in replacing them with some of the better wrestlers in the business today. He is also working on new venues. ECPW returns to Paramus, New Jersey on February 22nd for another exciting TV Taping. It is being billed as The Night Of Champions as Crazy Ivan & Andrew Anderson will team up against Frankie Flow & Bandito Jr in the main event.

Christmas Chaos

Let’s focus on what happened at Christmas Chaos.  Team Caruso beat Team DeVito as Gino Caruso finally put an end to the reign of the ego maniac Doug DeVito. For over a year DeVito abused ECPW wrestlers, personnel and fans with his antics as the owner and General Manager of the company.  As Gino applied the figure four grapevine, DeVito could be heard screaming in pain throughout the building. Cheers erupted when he tapped out and the referee, Scott awarded the match to Team Caruso. Chairman Of The Board, Mr. Alan Kay was in attendance and stated that he would address the wrestlers and fans at the next TV Taping on his vision for ECPW moving foward. Frankie Flow & Bandito Jr. defended their tag team belts victoriously against the winners of the two ring battle royal that was won by the Dominican Diablo & Matt McIntosh, two very talented wrestlers who could not set aside their differences and work together as a cohesive team.  Punisher Martinez was victorious over Dan Marquez in a very brutal taped fist match and Jumbo Joe Gunns defeated the German Menace Stagg in a vicious match.  Check the website for details on how to order the DVD as it will be available very soon.  You will not be disappointed.

The wrestling world questions whether  Doug DeVito can survive a match like this, but he has been a combatant in past contests and somehow held his own, with the help of his entourage.  There is a possibility that Gino Caruso can be gone forever or could Doug DeVito be banished from the wrestling scene?  We will not find out what the stakes are until December 14th as Alan Kay will announce at the Elks Lodge, what is at stake for one of the most important and critical matches in ECPW history. There will also be an important tag team match that night as the current ECPW Tag Team Champions, Frankie Flow & Bandito Jr. will defend their titles against the formidable team of Big Ben Cromwell & Dan Marquez. Also appearing that night  is the up and coming Dominican Diablo as well as two popular ECPW veterans— Mo Sexton & Scotty Charisma.

For those of you fans who were not able to attend the latest taping, a terrific and hard fought match between The Illusionist, Damian Adams and the “Merengue Warrior” took place for the Light Heavyweight Championship Belt. It ended in a double count out. This exciting  match can be seen on ECPW’s internet television. Apparently, Alan Kay, has scheduled a rematch between the two evenly matched combatants for the next TV Taping at the Elks Lodge and is currently deciding on some kind of stipulation for this encounter. I will keep you fans posted when I find out what the Senior Member of The Board decides to do. The Illusionist was overheard at the ECPW Training School telling one of the wrestlers that he will have something up his sleeve for the next contest.  Keep checking the website for some more exciting updates.

Doug DeVito,

Doug DeVito, incensed by this scheduled match, his past one month suspension and fine, has promised to confront Mr. Alan Kay in an upcoming segment of yours truly, Joey G’s, Up Close And Personal segment at the next TV Taping. Mr. Kay has agreed to his special request, or should we say arrogant demand, and will address the issues he and the Board Of Directors have had with The Sports Agent over the last few months.  This should make for an interesting meeting that will most likely result in additional fireworks Friday evening.

All of the ECPW stars will be on hand Friday night and as all you wrestling fans realize, you just never know what is going to happen at an ECPW event, as witnessed by the hundreds of fans in attendance at the last TV Taping and by thousands more watching on television, when former World Boxing Champion, Riddick Bowe, knocked out the Peacemaker cold as Riddick came to the aid of his friend, Gino Caruso. Apparently, Damian Adams, has earned a shot at the Light heavyweight title held by the tremendously popular Merengue Warrior. This one should be very exciting and entertaining as both wrestlers are evenly matched in size, experience and ability.
